Validity Period of CTET Certificate

  • CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) eligibility certificate holds a unique advantage as it remains valid for life for all categories
  • Additionally, no matter how many attempts one can make to obtain the CTET certificate, individuals who have already qualified the CTET have the option to appear for the exam again to improve their score or for some other personal reason
  • This flexibility allows candidates to continuously strive for excellence and increase their CTET scores, thereby ensuring a dynamic and efficient learning
Primary Stage (Class I to V)

For Primary Stage (Class I-V):

  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and must have passed the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and must have passed the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 norms
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and must have passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.Ed.)
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and must have passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

For Elementary Stage (Class VI-VIII):

  • Must have passed or appearing in the final year of bachelor’s degree and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and B.Ed (bachelor’s degree in education)
Secondary Stage (Class VI to VIII)

Educational Qualification for CTET:

1. For Primary Stage (Class I-V):

  • Passed in the final year of bachelor’s degree and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with 50% marks and must have passed 1 year bachelor’s in education (B.Ed.).
  • Graduation with 45% marks and appearing in 1-year bachelor’s in education (B.Ed.) as per NCTE norms.
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.Ed.).
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Passed or appearing in final year of B.Sc. Ed. Or B.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed.

2. For Elementary Stage (Class VI-VIII):

  • Passed in the final year of bachelor’s degree and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with 50% marks and must have passed 1 year bachelor’s in education (B.Ed.).
  • Graduation with 45% marks and appearing in 1-year bachelor’s in education (B.Ed.) as per NCTE norms.
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.Ed.).
  • Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Passed or appearing in final year of B.Sc. Ed. Or B.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with 50% marks and appearing in 1 year bachelor’s in education (Special Education).
  • Graduation with 50% marks and passing 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
