APPSC Group 1 Exam Selection Process Details:

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission’s (APPSC) Group – I Exam Selection process details are given below….

Selection Procedure:

The selection process for Group I Exam will consists written examination & Interview.

1) Written examination:

The Screening Test conducted by APPSC is of objective type mode which consists of Paper -I General Studies. This paper consists of 04 parts i.e., A B C D each part carries 30 marks
A. History and Culture.
B. Constitution polity, Social Justice and International relations.
C. Indian and Andhra Pradesh Economy And Planning.
D. Geography. It carries 120 marks, and its time duration is 120 Minutes and

Paper -II General Aptitude This paper consists of 2 parts i.e., A and B each part carries 60 Marks (Part-A – 60 Marks, Part -B (i) – 30 Marks and B (ii) – 30 Marks).
A. General Mental Ability, Administrative and Psychological Abilities.
B. (i) Science and Technology
(ii) Current events of Regional, National and International importance. It carries 120 marks, and its time duration is 120 Minutes.

N.B:

NEGATIVE MARKS: As per G.O. Ms. No.235, Finance (HR-I, Plg & Policy) Dept., Dt.06/12/2016, for each wrong answer will be penalized with 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question.

The Main Examination conducted by APPSC is of objective type mode which includes Paper I, II, III, IV & IV. Paper, I consist of General Essay – on contemporary themes and issues of regional, national and international importance. Paper II consists of History and Cultural and Geography of India and Andhra Pradesh. Paper III Consists of Polity, constitution, Governance, Law and Ethics. Paper IV Consists of Economy and Development of India and Andhra Pradesh and Paper IV Consists of Science, Technology and Environmental Issues. Each Paper carries 150 marks and 180 Minutes time duration. Total marks for Main examination are 750 marks. Separate minimum qualifying marks will be given for Reservation candidates.

2) Interview: Candidates who scored minimum qualifying marks in Main Examination will be called for Interview. Maximum marks for Interview are 75.
